The Magpie Robin (四喜/吱喳)

The Magpie Robin (四喜/吱喳) is a trim black-and-white bird with cocked tail. Black portions of male replaced by brown and slaty grey in female. The female Oriental Magpie Robin differs from the male by lacking the black head and breast. Instead, it is mostly grey.

Its food consists of insects, chiefly picked off the ground, and flower nectar. Its nesting season is from April to July.
